Mighty Cold Here!!

Hello everyone!!

The last couple of days have been in the 40's - yesterday was close to 50 - today, however, was another story. This morning was -2 with wind speeds gusting up to 55mph. The wind chill had to be at least -30. It wasn't fit for man nor beast. Oreo would go do her business and within 2 minutes wanted back in the house.

Ron and the kids are doing real good. We try to read with Katrina every night. She's doing real good reading on her own. She loves math - she's a natural at adding and subtracting. Logan knows how to write an L and 4. I've been working with him as well with identifying letters and numbers. He's also real good about doing math. The CPA for Ron's office is needing a person to help him out for the tax season. Don't know if he'll take it or not - according to who can keep the kids while he's working.

School's going pretty good so far. Learning Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Not sure about some of it according to my own convictions. However, I can see where some of it would be very beneficial. It will be a year in March since I started school. Will be finished sometime in June. I'm real excited about starting my own practice.

Ron's Aunt Martha has MSRA. They found it when testing her urine for an infection. We haven't taken the kids over there - we really don't want them catching anything from her or vice versa. She seems to be very depressed - sleeps a lot - but perks up when we visit. Ron and I take turns going over there to see her. I've had the opportunity to pray with her a couple of times. Please help us pray that God saves her!!

Well, it's getting late, so I better get some rest. Hopefully Logan will sleep through the night. Earlier he was complaining about his stomach and threw up a couple of times. Will see how he does through the night. I have a house to clean tomorrow. And I don't think I want to take him if he's sick

Love to All!!

Life in the Scott household

My mom and brothers have been telling me about blogging - had to ask what "blogging" was. I've been out of the techno loop since I haven't been working. Thought we would give it a try. Will try to keep up with it as much as possible.

This has been a busy day. Went to church - cooked lunch - visited Martha, (Ron's aunt) then took Katrina to a birthday party. Today is suppose to be a day of rest!!

My break is over and I'll be heading back to school tomorrow night. Will be learning TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). It will be very interesting to see what I learn. I try to take the bits and pieces of what I learn and only apply what agrees with my spirit and beliefs. A year ago March I started this school journey and God has really been there for my family and me. Money has been very tight (and still is) but the months we think we won't be able to make it, God comes through and supplies what we need. My journey will end in June. My plans are to work at a clinic or hospital.

Ron is handling the finances for his 95 year old Aunt Martha - he has power of attorney. We visited her today - she did not look so great. She's been sleeping a lot. Has a stage 4 ulcerated bed sore on her backside. I know she's in a lot of pain. She cries every time they help her out of the bed. The staff is very patient and kind usually there when she calls.

My babies are doing great. Wednesday, Katrina pulled her 8th tooth during nap time at school. She's pulled everyone of them by herself. She grosses her daddy out when she wiggles them. She is so cute when she smiles. Her all time favorite singer is Hannah Montana. Santa brought her a Hannah Montana wig, HM barbie doll and HM CD plus CD player. She has been playing that thing almost every day and knows every word to every song. I've caught her dancing in front of the mirror singing - it's a hoot.

My Loggie is such a mama's boy. If I'm busy doing house work, he'll make me stop to have a cuddle. We have to sit down in the recliner or lay down on the bed and snuggle up to each other. I try to take advantage of this as much as possible because, unfortunately, he'll grow out of this eventually. He's really into sports and loves spiderman.

Him and our fury child are pretty good buds. Oreo is a border collie/springer spaniel mix we got from the Humane Society. She's real smart - was easy to house train. However, her breed is a herding breed and that's what she does. She's constantly trying to herd the kids by nipping at their ankles. This picture is Oreo with her baby doll.

Ron is working for a soil testing company doing their accounting. His boss is really good to him. He will be there a year this February. He has pretty good benefits as well. It has really helped him being at this job because he is able to keep the kids when I'm in school at night. He really keeps busy with his job and being on the PACC team at church.

Well, this is a lot to blog at one time, but wanted to get you caught up.
